【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethoddeterminestheoperatingforcesforopeningandclosinghorizontalandverticalslidingwindowsandhorizontalslidingdoorsystems.Itdoesnotaddresstheforcesrequiredforopeningpivoting,projecting,orotherfenestrationsystems.Thistestmethoddoesnotaddresstheuseorperformanceofadd-ondevicesormechanicaloperatorsthatmightbeinstalledtoreduceoperatingforcesofslidingwindowsordoors.Itdealsonlywiththeforcesnecessarytoopenandcloseasashorpanelthroughthedirectapplicationofforcetotheoperablesashorpanel.1.2Thistestmethodissuitableforlaboratoryproductcomparisonsorforqualifyingproducts,orboth,asmeetingwindowordooroperatingforcespecifications.Thistestmethodisalsosuitableforuseinthefieldtodeterminetheoperatingforcesrequiredtoopenandcloseinstalledslidingwindowsanddoors.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection.
