【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationappliestoeye,face,andheadprotectivedevices,designedforusebyplayersofthesportofpaintball,whichminimizeorsignificantlyreduceinjurytotheeye,adnexaofeye,face,andheadduetopaintballimpactorpenetration,orboth.1.2EHPDsbynatureprovidethreetypesofprotection.Thefirsttypeofprotectionisfortheeyesandadnexaofeyeandnotnecessarilyforanyotherpartsofthefaceorhead.Thesecondtypeofprotectionaddscoveragefortheearsandface.ThethirdtypeofcoverageaddscranialcoverageinadditiontothatprovidedtotypesIIandIII.ThesecoveragetypesaredefinedinSection8.1.3ThisspecificationdoesnotlimitthewearingofeyeglassesorcontactlenseswhenusedinconjunctionwiththeEHPD.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
